The Rex Hotel is situated right in the heart of Stockholm, within walking distance of all central buildings, tourist attractions and key locations. It has great access to local transport, with the tube station of Radmansgatan only a block away, while the local area offers an exciting and trendy environment of restaurants and bars of all types and styles.
All rooms are decorated in a different bold colour and style, offering a well portioned space with all the facilities necessary to ensure a relaxing and rewarding stay. The bathrooms are stunning and in excellent condition with black Greek imported slate tiling the walls and unfloor heating providing the luxurious feel.
Breakfast is served in a small room facing the street. The chairs are comfortable and inviting allowing for an enjoyable experience. In summer breakfast can be taken in the inner courtyard garden or the glass conservatory which is under construction.
The hotel is a refurbished town house from 1866 and as such the exterior's original features of stone and large windows remain. Internally the 19th century atmosphere can be felt through the old, brick-vaults in the basement and in the staircase.
The lobby utilizes the front reception room of the old town house. It offers a comfortable and relaxed space with leather sofa's and large low level coffee table's making the experience more like a coffee shop than reception.
As the sister hotel to the Hotel Hellsten on the opposite side of the road, the Rex offers the very best 3 star accommodation in Stockholm. It has a feel of staying in a design hotel but with exceptionally friendly staff and attention to detail. The owner being a renowned photographer has hung his pictures throughout making the hotel feel like a living art gallery. Very highly recommended!
