The hotel is situated in the heart of the city, opposite the royal palace. Standing right on the harbour, next to the Gamla Stan (old city), close to museums, theatres and shopping areas. An ideal location in a very fashionable and well looked after part of the city.

The rooms in the Grand Hotel Stockholm are classically furnished and have bathrooms lined in Italian marble. They have all the modern amenities a discerning traveller would expect in a hotel of this category.

The French dining room serves French cuisine, and is of very high standard, both in regards to the food and the ambience. The other restaurant serves a Swedish buffet smorgasbord and the food is excellent. It has a stunning view overlooking the harbour. The general ambience is business like.

The hotel was built at the end of the 19th century and the building is representative of the splendour of this era.

The lobby is large with a high ceiling and antique furnishings in a classic elegant style. All furnishings in the lobby, from the seating to the pictures to the ancient books could be described as works of art. This is a very well maintained property, steeped in history with an excellent location. One of the best hotels in Stockholm, and for that matter Scandinavia. As a guest you have access to the Grand Fitness Suite located in the hotel for a small charge.
